Let's ignore, for a minute, the eye-watering price tag of the Wilier Cento 10 PRO Ult Di2 (2019) RAM Bike (because it doesn't hurt to dream) and just look at how beautiful it is...
Finished? OK. Wilier
are an Italian brand with heritage and prestige having been around since 1906 and competing at the top level of cycling so the blurb for this bike mentions all the stuff you would expect for a bike of this calibre; lightness, stiffness, performance, "the likes of which have never been seen before!" apparently. We can, in all reality, assume that it is an excellent handling and performing machine, seeing as it is made up of Carbon Monocoque
frame and forks, Shimano Ultegra Di2
gubbins, Miche Syntium
Wheels and other suitably high end stuff.
But what really makes this bike stand out is that thing that italians do so well - style. The simple lines so elegantly executed. The attention to deatil so meticulous. The paint job jumping out, but not gaudy (well maybe a tad). This bicycle oozes panache. If the copper colour isn't for you - check out the Iride Grey
which I can only assume is 'coming soon' as it is not yet listed anywhere.
Yes, the price is as steep as the Col de Tourmalet
, but Wilier don't do cheap. In fact if you want to spend even more you can - the pro bike
, while boasting all the best components, is a bit, well, yellow... While the most expensive bike in the range - the Zero 6 -
is a staggering £9600!
At the bottom of their range Wilier have a very teasty looking bike indeed. The Cento 1
is a fraction of the price, but still a great looking bike and a real world possiblilty for the enthusiatic cycler with a reasonable budget.
The cheapest price for this bike is listed on Wiggle at £6,269.99 but only with Large or X-Large in stock:
It is also available from Chain Reaction for £6,999.99 with only 1 medium bike in stock:
